Process


Please follow the tasks below. If you have any questions ask your teacher or a volunteer.

Your steps are:

1.
Check out the state symbols.
Click on the state flag. Print it, and put your name on it. Color it and put it in your file.
Click on the flower. Print it, and put your name on it. Color it and put it in your file.
Click on the state. Print it, and put your name on it. Color it and put it in your file.
Click on your choice (Bird, Fish, Turtle). Print it, and put your name on it. Color it and put it in your file.
Once papers have been laminated, glue them to the sides of your box.

2.
North Carolina has 3 geographical regions.
Move your arrow across the picture of the state.

North Carolina has 100 counties.
Move the arrow over the map.
Look at the numbers that are on the map now.
Scroll down the page.
What number is Mecklenburg County?
Now scroll back up and find Mecklenburg County on the map.
BONUS: What region is Mecklenburg County in?
Once you complete paper, make sure your name and date is on it and put it in your file.

Even though you live in North Carolina, it is also a great state to vacation in. Click here to explore some really great spots.
Click on the waterfalls page.
Click on the red water drops and click to see a picture of the falls.
Scroll down and click on the Cherokee page.
Make sure you visit all the spots that interest you.
After you have explored this page, draw a picture of your favorite spot.
Write a sentence to let me know why it is your favorite.

5.
You will choose a North Carolina animal and fill in the My Amazing Animal Report poster. Once completed make sure your name is on it and put it in your file. Make sure your name is on it so that your teacher can laminate.

6.
You will be given a puzzle piece of North Carolina. On this piece please illustrate facts learn throughout your quest. Make sure you name is on the front and put into your file.
